DESCENDANTS OF GEORGE AND CATHERINE (CURTISS) FOGLEMAN

George Vogelmann (Fogleman) (circa 1721-circa March 1785 per his Will ) arrived in America on 5 September 1751 at Pennsylvania. He married Catherine Curtiss (Gotz) during the mid-1753-55's. They had the following children:

  • Peter who married 1) Ann Margaretha (unknown); 2) Katy Shatterly;
  • Anna Margaretha Fogleman who married John. David Gobel;
  • John Fogleman who married Molly Shaddy;
  • George Adam Fogleman who married Catherine "Katy" Shaddy;
  • Elizabeth Fogleman who married Peter Coble;
  • Catherine Fogleman who married John Coble;
  • Eve Fogleman who married John Spoone (Loeffel); and
  • Henry (Heinrich) Fogleman who married Nellie Helena (unknown).

Reunion Information

Saturday, May 17, 2008 - Meet other Foglemans

Pleasant Hill Church Social Hall, 1712 Pleasant Hill-Liberty Rd., Liberty, N.C. 27298-9032

  • 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM - There is no formal reunion program. Instead, there will be table displays, a family lineage chart, time to verify genealogical and historical material, and a chance for listening to family tales or folk lore.
  • 12:00 Noon – covered dish luncheon

Tours of ancestral locations will be held request ONLY!

Tour Ancestral Locations in Alamance County - Tours including, the homesite of George Fogleman, the Old Brick Church, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church, Stoner's Graveyard, Pine Hills Cemetery in Burlington, and possibly the Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery can be arranged upon request. To request a tour please contact:
